Part of the Double Double series debut release in March, 2019 and finished in ex-Palo Cortado Sherry Casks, this whisky has a great balance and complexity. The nose has notes of peach nectar, apricots, dried rose petals, muted spices, and a hint of honey. The taste is luscious, thick, and rich with a citrusy tartness, spicy notes of white pepper and cardamom, honey, vanilla, and a hint of dried flowers in the background. The long finish has a subtle fruitiness with muted spices and a hint of ginger. Excellent! (March, 2019)
