Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon
Country: USA
Region:
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Noble Oak Spirits Company (Edrington Americas)
ABV: 45%
Score: 89 Points
This Bourbon comes from Edrington Americas, and is made with sourced MGP Bourbon from Indiana that is then finished with “Sherry Oak” staves using a “proprietary compression oak” finishing process. The nose has notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, honey, and a hint of dried fruits. The taste is spicy and minty with a strong wintergreen flavor, along with white pepper, allspice, and hints of caramel and vanilla. The finish is long, crisp, and minty. It doesn’t taste like a traditional Bourbon, and that may not go over well with traditionalists – but it’s a whiskey that’s easy to drink. (February, 2019)
