Gordon & MacPhail Glenlochy 1979 (2015 Bottling)
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Gordon & MacPhail
ABV: 46%
Score: 94 Points
This 36-year-old single malt comes from the distillery’s final year of production before it was closed and later demolished. The nose is dusty with a subtle oakiness, good malty touches, honey, toasted caramel, and crème brûlée. The taste is vibrant with tropical fruits balanced by clove, a hint of white pepper, and touches of vanilla and caramel in the background. The finish is very long, fruity, and well-balanced.
