St. George Spirits decided to stop producing its Breaking & Entering Bourbon in 2014 when Lance Winters and Dave Smith couldn’t source the Kentucky Bourbon barrels they needed for their blend. They decided to revive the label in 2018 with a new blend featuring sourced Bourbon and Rye whiskies from Kentucky and Tennessee along with four different mashbills of their own malt whisky.
The nose is aromatic and warm with subtle spices and honey. The taste starts off with a touch of caramel cola, while spicy notes of white pepper and allspice build up nicely without overpowering notes of honey and vanilla in the background. The finish is long with subtle hints of spice. (October, 2018)
