Oban 21 (2018 Edition)
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 57.9%
Score: 94 Points
This single malt from Diageo’s 2018 Special Releases series is matured in refill European Oak casks, and the nose has notes of toasted oak, smoked salmon, toffee, vanilla, and a hint of citrus. The taste is thick, peppery, and slightly astringent with oak tannins, orange peel, a hint of clove, and a touch of spearmint in the background. The finish is long, dry, and spicy with a hint of spearmint. Excellent! (September, 2018)
