Fistful of Bourbon. Image courtesy William Grant & Sons. This Bourbon marks the entry of William Grant & Sons into the Bourbon market with its own brand (after acquiring Tuthilltown Spirits’ Hudson Whiskey range) created by the Grant’s blending team in Scotland. It uses five different Straight Bourbon stocks acquired from several distilleries in much the same way that Scotch Whisky makers create blends.

The nose is sweet with soft spices, vanilla, honey, a soft oakiness, and a hint of cocoa beans. The taste is thick and spicy with black pepper and cinnamon complemented by honey, vanilla, a touch of caramel, and ginger root. The finish is long and spicy with an underlying sweetness. (August, 2018)
