This single barrel of McCarthy’s Oregon Single Malt is exclusive to the Multnomah Whiskey Library bar in Portland, and comes from the standard three-year-old McCarthy’s finished for two months in an ex-Cognac cask. The nose is malty with a hint of nuts, straw, a subtle citrus fruit tartness, and muted spices. The taste is fruity with notes of red grapes, apples, a touch of clove, honey, straw, and a good maltiness. The finish is long and fruity with subtle spices. (June, 2018)
