The John Milroy Selection Blair Athol 25
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Berry Bros. & Rudd
ABV: 54.1%
Score: 93 Points
This Highland single malt was distilled in 1991 and spent 25 years in a refill hogshead cask. The nose has nice notes of butterscotch, allspice, a hint of citrus, and vanilla. The taste starts off oily and soft, then turns peppery and intense with notes of allspice, white pepper, and ginger balanced by sweeter notes of honey, vanilla, and butterscotch. The finish is long and peppery. Wow! (May, 2018)
