The English Whisky Company “Smokey”
Country: England
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 90 Points
There’s no “e” in whisky in the UK, but there is one in “smokey.” This English single malt has a light, subtle peatiness on the nose, along with vanilla, straw, and hints of anise and pears. The taste starts off creamy and fruity at first with vanilla, peaches, and pears – then the smoke comes alive with good peatiness and spicy touches of white pepper and allspice. The finish is long and smoky with gentle spices. Nice! (May, 2018)
