Tomatin 2007 Rum Cask
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 92 Points
This whisky is Tomatin’s first release using rum casks, and instead of using the Caribbean Rum casks for finishing, the distillery used them for the entire 9-year-long maturation period. The nose has notes of crème brûlée, toasted coconut, molasses, and honey. The taste is full of tropical fruits, with mango, pineapple, and a hint of grapefruit balanced by toasted coconut and molasses notes in the background. The finish is long, smooth, and fruity with subtle hints of spice. More, please! (January, 2018)
