Wolfburn Aurora
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 90 Points
This single malt from one of Scotland’s newest distilleries is matured in a combination of American Oak and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose is nutty and sweet with a good balance of roasted almonds, pecan pie, toffee, and marzipan. The taste has notes of raisins, blackberry preserves, almonds, coconut, honey, and a nice maltiness, while the finish is long with notes of toffee, orange peel, and a touch of figs. (December, 2017)
