Compass Box Phenomenology
Country: Scotland
Region:
Type: Blended Malt
Bottler: Compass Box Whisky Company
ABV: 46%
Score: 93 Points
Compass Box won’t say what whiskies went into this blended malt, in order to let consumers decide for themselves on the flavors and aromas after tasting it. The nose has notes of plums, raisins, black grapes, a hint of beef broth, anise, and sandalwood. The taste is very tart with lemon pepper, pineapple, anise, raisins, and a touch of black grapes in the background. The finish is long and tart, and water adds a creamy texture to the tartness.
