Ranger Creek .36 Texas Straight Bourbon
Country: USA
Region: Texas
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 48%
Score: 88 Points
Unlike Ranger Creek’s .36 Small Caliber Bourbons, this straight Bourbon is matured in full-size (53 gallons) barrels for at least two years. The difference in maturation time shows, with a sweet nose and notes of caramel, brown sugar, muted spices, vanilla, oak, and a touch of molasses. The taste is thick and spicy with peppercorns, a hint of chili powder, oak tannins, vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. The finish is long with lingering spices and touches of caramel and fudge in the background. (July, 2017)
