This single malt from Vancouver Island’s Shelter Point Distillery was matured in American Oak casks and finished in French Oak casks. The nose is warm and welcoming with muted spices, dark chocolate fudge, toffee, and a hint of oak. The taste is thick and spicy with strong notes of clove, cinnamon, dark chocolate fudge, and toffee. The finish is long and very spicy with clove and cinnamon notes that last and last. An impressive first year release! (April, 2017)
