Ohishi Sherry Cask
Country: Japan
Region:
Type: Rice Whisky
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 40.8%
Score: 87 Points
This Japanese whisky is distilled from rice, matured in ex-Sherry casks, and carries no age statement. The nose is aromatic with muted spices, dried fruits, graham crackers, marzipan, and a hint of toffee. The taste has a thick mouthfeel with lemon zest tartness, along with touches of clove and dried fruits. The finish is aromatic with lingering clove, a hint of allspice, and dried fruits.
