Single Cask Nation Bunnahabhain 28 Cask #7403
Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Jewish Whisky Company/Single Cask Nation
ABV: 51.3%
Score: 91 Points
This single cask bottling comes from an ex-Sherry hogshead filled in February of 1988 and bottled in June, 2016. The nose has a soft smokiness that doesn’t overpower the excellent maltiness and notes of straw, honey, heather, and subtle spices. The taste is spicy with white pepper and cinnamon notes, along with citrusy tartness of lemon zest and grilled pineapple, coconut, vanilla, and a hint of apricot. The finish is long and tart with good lingering citrus notes and a touch of spice. Very nice. (December, 2016)
