The Glenlivet Winchester Collection Vintage 1966
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 48.5%
Score: 96 Points
This is the second release in the Winchester Collection series, and is a 50-year-old single malt distilled in 1966 and matured in an ex-Sherry cask. The nose has notes of molasses/treacle, toffee, raisins, plums, muted spices, oak, and just the barest touch of smokiness. The taste is fruity and vibrant with notes of mango, orange peel, toffee, dried flowers, muted spices, and raisins. The finish is very long, dry, and fruity with orange peel and hints of toffee and licorice. Wow! (September, 2016)
