Ironroot Hubris Corn Whiskey
Country: USA
Region: Texas
Type: Corn Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 58.9%
Score: 89 Points
This corn whiskey won a Double Gold Medal in the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and the nose is aromatic with grilled corn on the cob, mesquite smoke, oak, and vanilla notes. The taste is spicy with black pepper and clove, but well-balanced with nice notes of black cherries, hot fudge, vanilla, and oak. The finish is medium-length with a good spiciness balanced by dark chocolate, oak, and a hint of mesquite smoke. (July, 2016)
