A.D. Rattray Linkwood 17

Type: Single Malt
Bottler: A.D. Rattray
ABV: 56.5%
Score: 92 Points
This “Bourbon/Sherry Hogshead” cask was filled in June of 1997 and bottled in January of 2015, and the nose is floral and fruity with dried rose petals, grapefruit, nutmeg, a hint of roasted almonds, and a soft oakiness. The taste is thick, syrupy, and mouth-puckering with a good burst of clove, cinnamon, and cardamom, along with fudge, caramel, and toffee notes underneath. The finish is long with subtle spices and dried fruits. Very nice! (January, 2016)
