Les Moissons Single Malt Whisky. Image courtesy Domaine des Hautes Glaces. This whisky comes from Domaine des Hautes Glaces in the French Alps, and is matured for almost four years in lightly toasted French Oak casks. The nose is light and clean with a slight hint of citrus, dried flowers, and a hint of pears. The taste is dry and fruity with pears, peaches, a hint of white pepper, honey, brown sugar, lemon zest, lime, and orange peel. The finish is long and tart with a nice balance. (September, 2015)
