Glenmorangie 1974 Oloroso Finish. Image courtesy Glenmorangie. This single malt was matured for 30 years, with the final seven years in Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose has classic Oloroso notes of raisins, prunes, dates, Clementine oranges, vanilla, and honey. The taste is thick with dates, figs, raisins, orange peel, and hints of clove and walnuts. The finish is tart and fruity with touches of lemon zest, linen oil, peaches, pears, and a hint of cocoa. (September, 2015)
