Yellowstone Bourbon Limited Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Limestone Branch Distillery
ABV: 52.5%
Score: 85 Points
This is the re-launch of Yellowstone Bourbon under the ownership of Steve and Paul Beam at Kentucky’s Limestone Branch Distillery, but comes from sourced whiskey while the Beams distill their own Bourbon for future releases.
The nose has notes of baked peaches, red apples, ginger, clove, a subtle hint of cinnamon, a nice oakiness, vanilla, and honey. The taste is good and spicy, with lots of cinnamon and clove balanced by honey, a touch of ginger root, linseed oil, and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and fades very quickly with touches of ginger, oak, vanilla, and a slight nuttiness. (September, 2015)
