Abbey Whisky Anon. Batch #1
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Abbey Whisky
ABV: 51.5%
Score: 88 Points
This is a 13-year-old Highland single malt from an undisclosed distillery, and the nose is fruity with notes of peach pie, red apples, a good maltiness, honey, vanilla, and a mild touch of oak. The taste is thick and spicy with cinnamon, a touch of lemon custard underneath, and notes of vanilla, oak, dark honey, and a hint of rubberiness leading into the finish. That rubbery note is balanced on the finish with lingering spices and fruit, but is also very dry with hints of oak in the background. (September, 2015)
