Highland Park Odin
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 55.8%
Score: 90 Points
The final single malt in Highland Park’s Valhalla Collection, and named after the “God of Gods” in Norse mythology…this is a dark and pungent single malt with everything Orkney has to offer.
The nose has a kiss of smoke and spicy notes of black pepper and allspice, toasted oak, caramel cola, and a touch of figs. The taste has notes of plums, prunes, and raisins…very thick and spicy with cinnamon and white pepper, along with touches of caramel cola, oak, and peat smoke. The finish is aromatic and dry with prunes and raisins, caramel cola, oak, and peat smoke. (April, 2015)
