This French single malt was finished in ex-Sherry casks after initial maturation in French Oak, and the nose has notes of honey and black tea, allspice, banana, apricot, and a hint of peaches. The taste has a good balance of honey sweetness and spicy notes of white pepper, clove, and allspice with touches of butterscotch, apricot, and figs in the background. The finish is short with lingering white pepper and honey notes. (March, 2015)
