Kininvie 23 1990 Batch #2
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 42.6%
Score: 92 Points
This single malt comes from the little-known Kininvie stills hidden within the Glenfiddich/Balvenie campus in Dufftown, and William Grant & Sons waited more than 20 years before releasing any of Kininvie’s whisky to the public.
The nose is fruity with notes of peach nectar, vanilla, sweet oak, and hints of honey and banana. The taste is light and fruity, with peaches and cream balanced by clove spiciness and nice touches of oak and vanilla. The finish is long and syrupy-thick with peaces, a lingering note of clove, and a hint of fresh berries. Excellent! (February, 2015)
