Glen Deveron 16
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 40%
Score: 89 Points
Glen Deveron is the name given to single malts from the Dewar’s-owned MacDuff Distillery, and this Sherry cask-matured expression is part of the Royal Burgh Collection available exclusively at World Duty Free’s airport stores in the UK and Spain (which provided a sample for tasting).
The nose is smooth and malty with notes of honey, shortbread cookies, mandarin oranges. The taste is fruity with mandarin oranges, peaches, red apples, a hint of clove, honey, and a touch of oak. The finish is smooth, clean, and crisp with red apples, honey, and touches of orange peel and clove. Nice! (October, 2014)
