The flagship release from Dublin’s Teeling Whiskey Company comes from casks originally filled at Cooley Distillery, then given a period of extra maturation in Flor de Cana Rum casks.
The nose has notes of vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, molasses, brown sugar, and honey. The taste has a good balance of sweetness with milk chocolate, molasses, and brown sugar that complement oak, ginger, and a slight hint of almonds. The finish has a good balance of wood and spicy notes with a nice sweetness. (February, 2014)
