Angel’s Envy Cask Strength 2013 Release
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Louisville Distilling Co.
ABV: 61.5%
Score: 93 Points
This was the last Bourbon overseen by the late Lincoln Henderson, and was released just shortly after his death in September, 2013. As with all of the Angel’s Envy Bourbons so far, this is a Port cask-finished whiskey bottled at barrel proof.
The nose is fruity and sweet with plums, raspberries, ginger, cocoa beans, honey, and caramel notes. The taste is complex, tart and fruity with fresh berries, vanilla, cinnamon, licorice, and caramel notes in good balance. The finish is long and smooth with dried fruits, honey, caramel, and brown sugar notes. (January, 2014)
