Forty Creek Copper Pot Reserve
Country: Canada
Region:
Type: Canadian
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 91 Points
If you like Forty Creek Barrel Select (and I do), but wish it was just a little bit stronger, John Hall describes his Copper Pot Reserve as “Barrel Select on Steroids”. The nose is intense with a good balance of cinnamon, hazelnut, almond, ginger, caramel candy, and vanilla notes. The taste is thick, rich, and spicy with cinnamon, ginger, and fresh peach cobbler notes, along with hints of orange marmalade and honey underneath. Those same notes lead straight into a smooth, long finish. (May, 2013)
