This bottling came from a European oak ex-Sherry hogshead cask, and the nose is dry with strong maritime notes and a touch of heather and herbs; well balanced and pleasant. The taste is salty and dry with a hint of lime and herbal, grassy notes. The lime adds a nice sweetness that reminds me of Key Lime Pie. The finish goes on and on with a smoothness that has a hint of sea breeze. Outstanding!
