Karuizawa 1981 Cask #6207
Country: Japan
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Number One Drinks Co.
ABV: 58.3%
Score: 89 Points
This single cask Karuizawa has a warm nose with notes of figs, plums, raisins, and great sherry notes, along with hints of caramel candy and coconut. The taste can be described as a spice bomb, with a blast of chili powder and cinnamon that fades quickly to a lingering warmth with notes of dried fruits and orange peel that come out in the afterglow and stay through the long and subtle finish.
