Kilkerran Work in Progress #2

Country: Scotland

Region: Campbeltown

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46%

Score: 88 Points

This lightly peated single malt has a nose of black tea with lemon, a hint of soft smoke, lemon furniture polish, and almonds. The taste starts off buttery and soft, with a wave of cinnamon and pepper that follows and balanced by honey and lemon notes underneath. The spices fade to reveal touches of malt and grassiness. The finish is short and lemony-tart, fading quickly and leaving a touch of honey behind. (January, 2013)
