Hickory makes great barbecue, and this whiskey has a great nose of barbecue sauce, brown sugar, molasses, and vanilla. The taste is smoky and tangy, with chili powder and a touch of lemon-lime tartness underneath. The finish is lingering and slightly tart with a touch of smoke.
