J.R. Ewing Private Reserve Bourbon. Image courtesy Southfork Bottling Company/Prairie Creek Beverages. This Bourbon comes from an undisclosed distillery in Kentucky, but its home is in Dallas. The nose has notes of dark chocolate, caramel, oak, brown sugar, honey, and pipe tobacco. The taste is light at first, then turns spicy and complex with chili powder, black pepper, honey, barbecue sauce, and caramel that gets stronger as the spices fade.
