Ichiro’s Malt/Chichibu: The First One
Country: Japan
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Ichiro's Choice
ABV: 61.1%
Score: 93 Points
The first “official” single malt whisky from Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu Distillery, and bottled at barely three years old. It certainly doesn’t seem that young, though, with a nose of sweet corn, dried flowers, vanilla, and a hint of oak. The taste is thick, rich, and mouth-coating with cinnamon spice, vanilla, and honey that lingers through a very long finish. The beginning of a classic!
