Glen Scotia 15
Country: Scotland
Region: Campbeltown
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 90 Points
This Campbeltown malt spent 15 years in ex-Bourbon casks, followed by just a few weeks in ex-Sherry casks before bottling.
The nose has notes of oak, vanilla, hints of brine and seaweed, honey, and brown sugar with a nice smoothness and balance. The taste is equally well-balanced and rich with touches of smoke and brine, cinnamon and clove spices, dried fruits, and vanilla. The finish is long, smooth, and consistent with no surprises.
