William Larue Weller 2018 Edition. Image courtesy Buffalo Trace. This is the uncut, unfiltered wheated Bourbon in the annual Buffalo Trace Antique Collection series, and it’s a whopper! The nose is spicy with touches of cardamom, allspice, charred oak, sandalwood, pipe tobacco, and vanilla. The taste is intensely spicy and slightly tart with ripe fruits, allspice, cardamom, and hints of honey, vanilla, and pipe tobacco in the background. The finish is long with lingering spices and hints of honey and pipe tobacco. Excellent! (October, 2018)
