Two Brewers Single Malt Release #04. Image courtesy Yukon Spirits. This single malt is distilled in the Yukon capital of Whitehorse, and is finished in ex-Bourbon barrels. The nose has notes of straw, heather, and a nice maltiness with hints of chocolate mint, cedar shavings, and a hint of shortbread cookies. The taste starts off smooth and creamy with a good balance of fruity peach and apple notes, followed by subtle spicy touches of clove, nutmeg, and ginger with a hint of oak in the background. The finish is long and fruity with lingering spices. (December, 2016)
