This is a blend of 50% malt whiskies and 50% grain whisky distilled at Japan’s White Oak Distillery and matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, virgin oak, and Sherry casks. The nose has tropical notes of pineapple, mango, and a hint of kiwi along with toasted caramel and honey. The taste is dark with oak tannins, grilled pineapple, toasted caramel, and honey. The finish is long and oaky with grilled pineapple and a hint of anise. (January, 2019)
