Rossville Union Master Crafted Rye

ABV: 47%

Score: 92 Points

Rossville Union Master Crafted Rye. Image courtesy MGP.This is MGP’s own Rye whiskey brand introduced in the summer of 2018, but unlike all of the other rye whiskies that have been bottled by the distillery’s customers over the years, it uses a blend of MGP’s rye mashbills matured for between five and seven years. The nose has soft rye spices along with dark chocolate, honey, rising bread dough, and a soft oakiness. The taste has a gentle buildup of spices with a nice kick of clove, allspice, cinnamon, and hints of honey and toffee in the background. The finish is long and spicy, but not overwhelming. Very nice.
