Pure Scot Blended Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Bladnoch Distillery Company. This blended Scotch comes from the team at Bladnoch Distillery led by veteran blender Ian Macmillan, and uses Bladnoch’s single malt as its heart along with malts and grain whiskies from other parts of Scotland. The nose is fruity and floral, with notes of freshly-cut grass, straw, fresh berries, a hint of peaches, ginger, and citrus fruits. The taste starts off soft and smooth, with spices that develop slowly alongside baking chocolate, honey, and fruity notes on top that add balance and complexity. The finish is medium-length and gentle with soft spices and subtle fruits. (April, 2018)
