Old Forester 1920 Bourbon. Image courtesy Old Forester/Brown-Forman.This “Prohibition-Style” Bourbon reflects Old Forester’s history as one of the few distilleries allowed to operate during Prohibition making whiskey for “medicinal use.” The nose has notes of caramel, butterscotch, honey, muted spices, and hints of charred oak and pipe tobacco. The taste has black pepper and a hint of cinnamon balanced by hones of vanilla, honey, and pipe tobacco. The finish is long and spicy with a hint of honey. Nice! (July, 2018)
