Highland Park "The Light." Image courtesy Highland Park. The counterpart to Highland Park’s “The Dark,” this 17-year-old single malt is matured in refill American Oak casks. The nose is fruity and floral, with green apples, pears, and a slight hint of smokiness. The taste is tart and citrusy with lemon zest, pineapple, a hint of grapefruit, soft spices, and touches of brown sugar and coconut in the background. The finish is long and fruity with citrus tartness. (May, 2018)
