Highland Park 2001. Photo © 2013 by Mark Gillespie. This expression was bottled for travel retail sales globally in 2012, and the nose is fruity and tart with a soft peatiness underneath…very light and mild. The taste is peaty with orange peel, honey, and vanilla notes. The finish is very peaty and lingering. If there’s such a thing as an Islay-like Highland Park, the 2011 is it.  (April, 2013)
