GlenDronach KIngsman Edition 1991. Image courtesy GlenDronach/Brown-Forman.This Sherry cask-matured GlenDronach was bottled for the premiere of director Matthew Vaughn’s movie “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” and is the Scotch Whisky counterpart to Old Forester’s Statesman Bourbon.

The nose has notes of old library books, leather, maple, raisins, pipe tobacco, and a touch of toffee. The taste has notes of orange peel, plums, pineapple, ginger, honey, and raisins, while the finish is nice and long with espresso, raisins, and chocolate walnut brownies. Excellent! (November, 2017)
