Glencadam 13 "The Reawakening". Image courtesy Glencadam/CIL US.This single malt comes from casks filled just after Glencadam reopened in 2004 under Angus Dundee’s ownership. The nose has notes of dark fruits, along with oak, vanilla, ginger allspice, and a touch of honey. The taste is spicy with white pepper, ginger, and allspice complemented nicely by peaches, red apples, and touches of plums and raisins for a nice, complex dram. The finish is medium-length and slightly dry with lingering spices. (August, 2017)
