This is the second 2017 batch of the 12-year-old Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, and the nose is aromatic and woody with notes of honey, brown sugar, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The taste is intense and spicy with black pepper, allspice, and a hint of coriander balanced by honey, dark chocolate, vanilla, and oak shavings. The finish is long and smooth. (May, 2017)
