Dewar’s Master Blender Stephanie Macleod selected Pedro Ximénez casks to finish off this 32-year-old blend for the initial Double Double series of releases. The nose has a kiss of fireplace smoke, along with toffee, molasses, berry cobbler, and a hint of pecan nuttiness. The taste is complex and well-balanced with toffee, cinnamon, molasses, and a kiss of smoke at the end that leads into a smooth, gentle finish. Outstanding! (March, 2019)
