BenRiach 1998 Tawny Port Pipe. Image courtesy Kensington Wine Market. This 18-year-old single cask bottling was released in 2016 exclusively in Canada to British Columbia’s provincial liquor stores and a handful of retailers in Alberta. The nose has notes of red grapes, fresh berries, muted spices, and a hint of orange blossom honey. The taste is spicy with notes of clove, black pepper, and ginger balanced by a nice touch of molasses cookies. The finish is long with gently fading spices. Very nice! (January, 2018)
